The Most Beautiful Beaches and Bays of Kaş

The Kaş coast is famous less for wide sandy beaches than for small, crystal-clear coves tucked between dramatic cliffs. The colour of the water is incredible, thanks to the steep shores and clean, deep sea.
Kaputaş is the region's most iconic beach. You reach it from the road between Kaş and Kalkan, down a staircase to the foot of the cliff. It's small but mesmerising, and its turquoise water is even better than in the photos. Go early, as it gets very busy in the afternoon.
Büyük Çakıl and Küçük Çakıl are pebble beaches within walking distance of the centre, perfect for a quick dip. Limanağzı is a peaceful area of several coves reached by boat (regular taxi boats leave from the harbour) or on foot.
For a more secluded experience, head to the coves visited on boat tours or the hidden beaches along the Lycian Way. Most have pebbles rather than sand, so water shoes are comfortable.
Tip: At most beaches in Kaş, cafés run the sun loungers and umbrellas that provide shade; if you'd rather bring your own umbrella, arrive early to claim a spot.
Whichever cove you choose, bring your mask and snorkel; in these waters the underwater world is at least as beautiful as the shore.
